TurboMeeting 6.0 Release Notes
9/16/2015

RHUB is pleased to announce the release of TurboMeeting 6.0

1. Critical Fixes in 6.0
  1. Compliance with Windows 10 and MAC 10.11. TurboMeeting has been made compliant with these new desktop operating systems.
  2. Compliance with anti-virus tools. Alert messages have been eliminated from anti-virus tools such as Norton when installing TurboMeeting for the first time or when playing TurboMeeting recordings.
  3. The occasional hiss noise in mixed (VoIP and PSTN) audio conferencing has been fixed.
  4. The occasional disconnection in mixed audio conferencing for HA servers has been fixed.
2. Major New Features in 6.0

  1. HD Video Conferencing. TurboMeeting now supports up to 30 webcams in an HD video conference with up to 1080p and 30 frames per second. It allows multiple formats of webcam layout and resizing. It has a one-click switch between desktop sharing and full HD video conferencing.
  2. HD telepresence. Each participant can use up to 8 monitors. Each monitor is used to display HD video cameras or a remote desktop.
  3. iOS mobile client. The improved iOS app has better performance and user experience. It can view desktops, start its own webcam and see other webcams. It can use its built-in mic and speakers. It can remotely control other computers. And it can host and schedule meetings.
  4. Android mobile client. The Android app has the same features as the iOS client.
  5. Gmail and Yahoo email integration. This integration allows Windows and Mac users to easily generate Gmail and Yahoo email meeting invitations.

3. Known Limitations

  1. Recordings in 6.0 do not record the large HD Video Conference webcams. As a workaround, the host can allow the smaller thumbnail webcams to be recorded during screen sharing by turning on “Show all TurboMeeting windows” in preferences. This limitation will be fixed soon, in the next release. If this is an issue for you, please contact us for a Beta release that includes the ability record HD Video Conference webcams.

3. Major Development in 6.1

  1. Provide an instant messaging (IM) function to enterprise users which will allow IM users to meet immediately without having to send meeting information.
  2. Record HD Video Conferences and allow the recordings to be converted to MP4
  3. Support file sharing between computers and/or friends
  4. Support affordable domestic and international dial-out and call-me PSTN audio conferencing.
  5. Provide the Linux client.
